What is DataFest?
DataFest is an annual “hackathon” where Bachelor’s and Master’s students work in teams to tackle a surprise large dataset over 48 hours. It is a unique opportunity to put your data analysis, visualization, and modeling skills to the test while connecting with industry leaders and academics. Past datasets have included crime statistics from the Los Angeles Police Department and dating site analytics predicting user behavior.
Why Join?
Beyond the competition, DataFest offers expert mentorship, networking with professionals in data science and statistics, and the chance to win prizes in categories like Best Insights, Best Visualization, and Best Use of Outside Data.
