The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) aims to create an inclusive and open environment for sharing and using scientific research data across Europe. The development phase of the so-called “EOSC Federation” is now underway, important decisions have been made, and measures for the further development of the federation have been defined.
To provide more information on this, the ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics invites you to the fifth EOSC Coffee Lecture on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4 to 5 p.m. This Coffee Lecture will focus on the following topics:
- Structure of the EOSC Federation
- Identification of EOSC candidate nodes
- Timeline leading up to the EOSC Symposium 2025
- EOSC Federation Handbook
- Future of EOSC post-2027
The one-hour webinar (30 minutes presentation, 30 minutes Q&A/discussion) will be held in German and led by Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann, Director of the ZBW, member of the Board of Directors of the EOSC Association, involved in several NFDI consortia, and member of the NFDI Senate.
The EOSC Coffee Lectures are aimed at everyone working with research data in a scientific context or involved in the implementation and operation of research data infrastructures.
