Join us for a one-day workshop dedicated to the theme of data quality in unstructured data, hosted by BERD@NDFI and KODAQS. The event brings together experts from diverse fields to share insights, experiences, and strategies for navigating the challenges and opportunities of working with unstructured data. It also explores the need for quality metrics in AI and official statistics development in business, economics, and related data.
Our program (soon to come!) is designed to foster deep engagement: each hour-long session includes an extended presentation by an invited speaker, followed by an interactive Q&A.Â
In addition to exciting talks, we are pleased to announce a call for posters. We invite researchers and practitioners at all career stages to present their work related to unstructured data and data quality. Posters will be displayed throughout the day to encourage informal discussion and knowledge sharing, and a poster session is scheduled during the lunch break.
In the context of unstructured data in business, economics, and other social sciences, research can focus on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to…
- the assessment or improvement of the quality of unstructured data
- the development of data quality frameworks
- applications for unstructured data in research
- highlighting the challenges in collecting and curating unstructured data
If you are interested in presenting a poster, please submit a short abstract (max. 250 words) by July 15th 2025 to DataQualityWorkshop@stat.uni-muenchen.de.
Whether you are a researcher, practitioner, or simply interested in the topic, we invite you to be part of this collaborative and thought-provoking day.
We look forward to welcoming you in Munich!
